Lilypie Kids Birthday tickers
1.12.2010

happy birthday!

sophie spent sunday and monday a little under the weather. it seems like she just had a cold, but for whatever reason it just wiped her out. she slept a good part of both those days and just wasn't herself. we were worried she might still be sick today and not able to enjoy her birthday - but, thank goodness, she woke up feeling back to normal!

we were also lucky to have adam home with us for the day - he'd had to work saturday, so took today off in exchange. we started the morning with some presents. she chose to open ben's first (an assortment of target $1 bin items, as has become our tradition for their gifts to each other) and then we ate breakfast. next up was a trip to chuck e. cheese. the kids both had a ball. we headed home for lunch, opened the last couple presents, then had a nice relaxing afternoon watching a new movie and played with some new toys. for dinner, sophie chose pizza from merrill's. we brought it home and had a picnic dinner together in the living room.

sophie had a really great day, and she's so proud to be five. she keeps talking about how she gets to start kindergarten in the fall because she's five now. and she's very much looking forward to her parties on saturday, both with friends and with family.
