...a chronicle of our pregnancy and new daughter |
11.09.2009
finally better our poor girl had a pretty rough time last week - she went from sunday until thursday just sleeping and resting on the couch all day long, and didn't eat that entire time. finally on thursday morning she asked for a grilled cheese sandwich for breakfast, which i happily made her, and she ate one for lunch and dinner, too. by friday she was much more like herself, although still napping throughout the day and seeming a little off. by the weekend she had pretty much recovered, and even spent a good part of sunday running and playing outside. she lost a few pounds over the week and it took her a few days to regain all of her energy, but she's doing great now. she was so excited to head back to school this morning, after having spent all last week house-bound. her teachers were excited to have her back, too. ms. laurie even called last friday to check on her, and commented about how much the teachers had missed her and what a good influence she was on the other kiddos. that was a nice thing to hear. now let's hope we can all stay nice and healthy for the rest of the season!
