We heard the heart beat!!!

Aimee and I went to the doctor's today for our second ultrasound appointment. We really didn't know what to expect, and both of us were nervous on the drive over to the doctor's office. Although we had no indications that anything was wrong, I know I was just worried there would be a complication. Everything went great, though. We got to see the heart beat again, and even got to listen to it. It was such an incredible thing to witness! I can't even describe how excited I am. The baby is over an inch long now, and the placenta is partially formed. The heart rate was a very respectable 176, and our estimated development due to size was 9 weeks (a little more advanced then we expected). Aimee gets to go back and fill out paperwork so we can get an official pregnancy file. I can't even wait until the twenty week appointment when we get to see the baby even more fully developed. We are even looking into getting a 3D ultrasound done. I think it would be something cool to have. My only regret is that we have to wait so long until we get to see our baby again. Our regular appointments start up in three weeks.
